Okay, so before I go ahead, my wishes to all on this New Year! May peace reign and Love conquer the world:)
I must say that there was sosmething special this year. Its 1:38 a.m. in the morning (1st January 2009) and I am blogging about how my celebration was!
So I, along with a few friends visited Noida, after roaming around in the market for sometime I was pretty sure that this year I wanted to do something different. So even though the folks tried getting into the discs and the rest, I think there was this strange inner calling.
After a sumptuous at a The Great India Place mall at a famous Pizza joint (Pizza hut) I decided to move to the Gurudwara (Sikh temple) which is right across the road. Though I did get flak from the folks for such a decision as they had other plans for the night, I couldn’t resist the attraction. And so there we were at the Gurudwara chanting the Gurbani and suddenly there was this deep inner calm which I would have never experienced in a happening joint.
The biggest draw were two young ladies (probably in their 18-20’s) sitting pretty at a corner and chanting the Gurbani along with a smile on their faces. And such was the inspiration that I got stuck in the moment. It was an experience which no words can describe.
Look at Life, its so strange
As the clock struck 12:00am, I shook hands with all my friends at the Gurudwara and bowed down to make my wishes. And then suddenly I heard this loud roar of people screaming at top of their voices “Happy New Year” and the noise was coming from, (well, from a famous Discotheque, near the Gurudwara, in a mall). And that moment I felt, how strange is life!! Just a few moments ago I was trying to be one of the screaming one’s and now my world suddenly has changed. Its so calm, so serene…its perfect
I think this has probably been one of the best new year’s beginning for me and I wish things keep going good and strong year long for all:)
Wishes again,
Best,
Paritosh Sharma
